Scooby-Dooby Doo....

Need I say more???? We went with a family theme this year and had fun trick or treating at the EM city Trick or Treat village and the Military Trunk-or-Treat at Camp Williams. We did however lose Fred. Yes, Easton made it part way through before deciding he was just too cool to be seen with us and went back to becoming a covert ops spy....when did we become so uncool?

Halloween Howl

Easton ran the Halloween Howl 5K today. He did awesome finishing in just under 30 minutes & winning a prize for best costume (he was a spy)!

All the kids, including Cannon ran in the 1/4 mile fun run following the race. Cannon can most often be found right beside Gracee and today was no different, he had to do what she was doing!

All the kids got medals and "goodie" bags for finishing. Cannon was pretty proud of himself and his newly acquired fruit snacks!

BIG BOY PANTS

We've been doing some minor potty-training at our house the last few months, Cannon is doing great at going poop in the toilet and loves his M&M rewards ("nema nema nems" as he says it) so we decided to try him in pull-ups....He was super proud of his car under roos and got his first M&M's of the morning which he generously shared with his baby. That however was the end of it, the rest of the day went downhill. I think we will hold off pee training for now and just revel in the fact I very rarely have to change a poopy diaper, because at least he understands that part!

Guilty???

Apparently Cannon was not satisfied with the amount of sugar he consumed the night before and decided he needed more ice cream this morning. This was the scene I walked in on after getting dressed. Cannon using his hands to eat the ice cream straight from the container, mind you it wasn't even 8:00 yet! He must take after his Grandpa! I on the other hand need to change clothes faster!

Cannon Turns Two

Cannon had a great second birthday! We had his partner in crime and cousin Ellie over this morning for a play date. They busied themselves "echoing" each other and seeing who could screech the loudest, playing cars, stacking blocks, and chasing each other through the house. They topped off the play date by snitching oreo crumbs from the cake I was making and eating cars car mac-n-cheese and dinosaur nuggets! After all the morning fun, Cannon crashed for a long afternoon nap!Fast forward a few hours....The party begins, with so much family living out of state and our apartment being so small we broke up the families this year, the Wilson's celebrating with Cannon tonight. I made him a cars cake the best I could without having all my cake decorating tools, but I don't think he cared how it turned out at all as long as he got to eat it. He got some new toys, race tracks and airplanes which he hasn't stopped playing with. Not to mention all the toys, diapers and half used lotions we already owned that Gracee wrapped up just for him. including her baby doll, he loved it. Of course with all the sugar going through his veins he was the last one to sleep and sat playing in his port-a-crib until almost 11:00 last night! So much for Shane and I going to bed early at nine!

RED RED RED

So today was wear as much red as you can at school. The kids get points for each item of clothing and each accessory. Easton decided he had an unfair advantage being a boy so he put in pony tails and painted his fingernails red. Yes he is quite secure!!!!

The Royal Chariot

We also decided to go hike Stewart Falls over the kids Fall Break. This is an awesome hike for kids, it is a fairly easy trail, approximately 4 miles round trip. Easton & Gracee did great and well Canster did even better sitting in his royal chariot....the kid absolutely loves to be packed around on Shane's back, giving his royal command "go, go, go!" every few minutes.

The Pig Chases

IT MUST BE THE OVERALLS.....

With the kids out of school for Fall Break, we decided to head on over to one of Pleasant Grove's hidden little treasures...Hee Haw Farms. Nothing against the over commercialized Corn Bellys, we simply prefer the old school hometown feel of this unique little family run farm. The kids had a blast shooting the corn guns, swinging on the tire tractor and horse swings, riding go-karts, sliding down the awesome slide on gunny sacks, showing their moves as they jumped off hay bales into the pit of old mattresses, weaving their way through the corn maze, burying each other in the corn pit, picking their pumpkins from the pumpkin patch, and of course our favorite the Pig Chase. The kids all participated in chasing those fiesty little pigs, but it was Gracee who was able to catch and hold onto one. Dressed ready to go to a farm in her overalls we decided that must have done the trick, she had no reservations when it came to going after one of those dirty little pigs!
